“When we honestly ask ourselves which person in our lives mean the most to us, we often find that it is those who, instead of giving advice, solutions, or cures, have chosen rather to share our pain and touch our wounds with a warm and tender hand. The friend who can be silent with us in a moment of despair or confusion, who can stay with us in an hour of grief and bereavement, who can tolerate not knowing, not curing, not healing and face with us the reality of our powerlessness, that is a friend who cares.” – Henri Noumen

“A friend is one that knows you as you are, understands where you have been, accepts what you have become, and still, gently allows you to grow.”

― William Shakespeare

GOOD LUCK!!

I would take a good friend Shianne Butler, she is a newer friend, but in the last couple months she has been a wonderful support. Especially in the last week as I have been diagnosed with post natal depression, she has helped me immensely just in the last week, knowing I have someone to lean on other than my hubby.

Sarah

I would take my gorgeous best friend Sharmaine. We are both working mums and i think deserve a break :)

Kirsty Smyth

I would love to take my sister for a weekend away. She is my best friend and idol. I have always looked up to her and couldn't imagine a more deserving person to win a weekend away. We both have toddlers/ babies and she has recently had some tough news, it would mean the world to me to give her some quality time and smiles!

Karen

I would take my bestie Kelly as she has been there for my ups (getting married, buying a house, helping me in my pregnancy and raising of my baby girl) and my lows (helping me through a miss carry knowing how hard her being pregnant at the same time would be on me but it wasnt cause i was happy for her).
Kelly doesnt mind if i ring crying, stressed or need advice she is always there but i lose her in a couple of weeks she is moving to be closer to her husbands family.
A weekend away before she goes would be a nice send off for us both.

I'd take my sister along with me, she lives around 6 hours away from me so we don't see each other as much as we used to. We never ever ever got along when we were children but as we have grown older we have gotten closer and closer and she has done so much for me and this is something I'd like to win for her :-)

Bobbie Knight

I would bring my best friend Wendy Taylor, we have both had a few rough years. Now with me moving away we don't get to see each other often, but we always seem to know when we need each other. It would be fantastic to spend some relaxing time together.

Tatem

My sister and I lost our mum 13yrs ago. Since then life's journey has taken us in very different directions and we don't get to see each other very often. We had a chance to go away together 4yrs ago but I was pregnant, hormonal & afraid of the swine outbreak that was prevalent at the time so I missed out. I would love the opportunity to spend some quality time with my big sister who has always accepted me for me and whom I love and miss dearly. This would also be my way of saying that :)

Sarah Armitage

I would take my little sister Emma. She's my best friend and a wonderful Aunty to my little boys. It's been a tough couple of years, with me undergoing neurosurgery and chemo, and she's been there every step of the way to help. I'd love to live it up with her, and show her how thankful I am to have her in my life! Xo

Lisa Bonetti

I would love a girls weekend with my best friend Kirsty. She lives in Sydney and I live in Atherton. We've been best friends for 20 years and have rarely had time for 'just us' We both have kids that keep us busy and then there is the gaping geographical distance that keeps us apart for far too long. We never put ourselves first, so this would be a first :)

Emma Hold

I would take my step daughter Ashlee Hold. Her father and I are divorced now but we are still very close she is my best friend. We have been through so much together and through my dirvorce she was the most supportive friend i could have asked for. I have 3 children her siblings and i have a new partner who has 2 kids all of whom live with us full time, when i get behind my beautiful daughter/ friend comes and surprises me by doing my housework. I can never repay her kindness so this would be wonderful. She has a little girl her self so for us to both have a break at the same time would be a once in a lifetime oppotunity for us.

Bianca holland

Hi!! :) if I was to win this it would make it the first time I have ever won something hehe! I would bring my long term friend who is a single mum of 3 who would be absolutely blessed to be able to do something like this as I honestly don't think she has ever had a holiday before..ever! So if we were to win this it would be amazing :) Good luck to all the other mummy's out there xo

Tasheena Snow

I would love to share this with my truley amazing friend Krystle, she has been there for me through all the ups and downs in my life and helped and supported me through it. Krystle is an amazing woman who has had it tough but yet still shines and puts everyone else first! We met by working together in childcare ABC Mossman 5 years ago to now being stay at home mums, I have 3 kids under 3.5 and my friend is about to have 2 under 3.5 and not ashamed to say that we are exhausted and need a recharge like all the lovely mums around us.

Cas Hartley

I would bring Beth. We have been friends since we were 8 when she tried to choke me and I stood up for her to the deputy principal. We are now 27 (almost in my case!) and have remained good friends. Beth lives in Kingaroy and I live in Brisbane so we rarely get a chance to catch up face to face. We have 5 kids between us and our youngest were born on the same day last year!! Our friendship has grown and matured with us and I would love to share this with her :)

Jessica Nicholson

Wow, what a good question. It made me realize that since becoming a Mummy 3.5 years ago, a lot of my friendships have become distant memories. I guess I would take my hubby, which certainly isnt a bad thing, we dont get any quality time together these days.
Well, i'm off to get in touch with some friends so i dont have to think about this sort of question for 15 minutes ever again!

Tita Noah

I would bring my friend Jess. A couple years ago she was there for me while I was in a very abusive relationship. Her and her family gave me a place to stay and helped drive me interstate to get my son back from my abusive ex. She has been there for every court date since and I would not be where I am if it wasn't for her. I have never found a way to repay her for her generosity and ensuring the safety of my son and I. she has recent had a baby of her own, I would love to share this with her as she deserves it for being the worlds best friend!!

Tania

I'm sorry, I'm not very social media savvy, & I think I've pressed the wrong icon & have accidentally reported this post as inappropriate (& i can't figure out how to fix it. If this has happened, please ignore it! Your story of friendship is a truly beautiful one.

Tita Noah

You pressed that arrow to the right didnt you?? Haha don't worry I almost did the same trying to figure out what that button did!!

The Imperfect Mum

Thank You for Entering! - I will be announcing the lucky winner this Friday 5pm. Good Luck Kristy xx

Alyce Busato

I would bring my best friend of 14 years, Kristy. She is my rock! Without her I would be in the insane asylum by now. I always know I have her by my side in anything I do. She has even helped me plan my upcoming wedding and hens night! I can always count on her and she's always there for me through thick and thin. I love this girl to utter pieces! We both need a get away as its been a more then stressful year for us, even though we're only 4 months in. We both work and have Uni and families that we look after and yet we still find time to hang out with each other. This would be get away that we're are in so desperate need of to have that little bit of a break.

Isabel Maczi

I would take my mum. She is my best friend and has been with me through thick and thin. She has survived Cancer, fibromyalgia, endometriosis and yet still found the time to help others. She never treats herself and spends the money on her grandkids instead! I would love to share this with her and show her that what goes around truely does come around <3

georgia

Met him June 2010 and fell inlove. Engaged 3 months after and have 3 beautifull boys. Both busy working as our wedding is in 4 months! I need a weekend away so we have the time to say I love you and give hugs UN-interrupted ;) Xx

Laura McClure

I would take my best friend Rebecca. We hardly see each other these days as we live in different states. I would love to have a couple of days with her to catch up.

Richele Rapa

If I won, I'd love to take my mum! She's my best friend!!! She works full time yet still does everything for everyone! She deserves a holiday and to be pampered- this could be my way of saying thank you for being the best mum to me and best nan to my kids!! She really is one of a kind!!

Jane Dempsey

I would take my friend Crystal. For two years I struggled to meet new people and make friends when I moved up to Townsville. As a last resort after another failed activity to meet mums, I sent a message to imperfect mum about how hard I was finding it to meet people. Crystal responded to that message and now not only have I made a lifelong friend in her but our 2 year old daughters are also the best of friends. A weekend away to not only thank Crystal for her amazing friendship but to thank you in person for helping change my life would be just wonderful!

Meredith Beck

I would take my girl Liz Scott. I met her the day before my wedding, when I found out she had been making the bouquets for the next day. She helped my husband plan an entire surprise wedding for me and had made the most perfect floral arrangements for the day without even knowing who I was. We spent our first moments together at the hairdressers the next day and conversation never stopped, laughs continually flowed. Although we live miles apart, we have grown closer ever since. She makes me laugh, she understands me, she makes me smile and heck, I've never known anyone to love glitter as much as me!! When I'm down, I always know she will pick me back up again. EJS-I love you xx

Tori.

I would take my sister in law, she isn't a mum yet although her and her fiance are trying, and I think a relaxing weekend away is just what she needs to forget her worries, she has been there for me through thick and thin, sshe's always helping me out, whether it be taking my son to the hospital or taking me for a 'vent drive '. I can't say why we would deserve this more then someone else but I definitely would love a weekend away with one of the most important people in my life. :)

Patchouli Bailey

I would take my friend Jodie Callaghan she has been a great friend and help since we met 3 years ago at the gym. She's always there to help out with my two cheeky monkeys, which is a blessing because hubby works away Just today she made me a batch of her famous rocky road that I am making myself sick on lol! plus she deserves a break from her kids and hubby too!

Di Sherman

I would bring my darling daughter Krystle Rose she is 26 years old and is and always has been the light of my life, she is truly the child 'that was meant to be' after suffering 9 years of miscarriages and 5 years of unsuccessful IVF she is our only child. Krystle inspires me to be a kind, caring and loving person, she is a nurse at Cairns Base, my DD works so hard and works shift work always with a beautiful bright smile that lights up a room when she walks in. I don't get to see her often enough so a weekend away just for the 2 of us would be perfect. I work away from home so syncing her days off with my work schedule is a challenge.

Michelle

I would take my best friend and little sister Helen, we met through an ex and have been firm friends since! She is such a great support and it would be an awesome birthday/ relax time out for both of us. She is also such a great godmum to my kiddies. Good luck everyone xx

Megan

I would take my little sister Jess. She lives in brisbane and we hardly get to see each other. She is my best friend. She supports me through everything. She treats my children like her own. My daughter had cancer and she was by my side the whole time.... She can turn my crappy day around just by a text or a phone call. Since having kids we never get time for just the 2 of us. This weekend would be PERFECT!
Just like her :)

Melanie Holland

I would take my friend Melissa Lee Downie. Melissa and I became friends through our 2 eldest daughters. We have been friends now for just over a year and I am so blessed to have such a wonderful and special lady that I can talk to about absolutely anything and know that she won't judge me or my family. Melissa is such a caring person and I couldn't think of anyone else that I would rather share a special girls weekend with. Even if we don't win the weekend away, I am still a winner as I have this amazing woman to call my friend for the rest of our lives

Nadine Myers

I would take my beautiful friend, Michelle. We've known each other since birth, have been friends all through primary and high school, she was my bridesmaid and is such a special friend. Now that I have children and she works shiftwork and also travels a lot doing missionary work, I rarely get to see her, although when I do, it's like we were never apart! I'd love the chance to spend a couple of days relaxing and catching up with her, and have a break from work and the kids :)

Alyson Lilley

I would bring my beautiful sister, cause she has helped me and my kids more then words could ever describe, she rescued us from a domestic violence situation just over 2 yrs ago and this would be a great way to thank her for all her help

Vanessa Robinson

I would take my little sister with me if I won this holiday. We weren't close when young, fought alot. It was when we became adults and mothers that we became really close. She is the person I talk to about everything and I know she would do whatever she can to help and support me. We've never been on a holiday just the two of us, so it would be awesome to win this so we could. Fingers crossed!

Juliane Whipps

I would take my lovely friend from down the road with me. she is like a fiend, sister and mother all rolled into one. We have both been on one hell of emotional journey since yasi neally wiped our whole area off the map. Now her marrage is on the rocks and she has had to go down to help look after her new grandson. It would do both me and her a nice boost to be able to get on with our lives after the cyclone rebuild.

Bec Fitzgerald

I would take my bestie Mel! Mel and I have been friends for
28 years. We have been through some of the best and worst moments of our lives
together but no matter how much the world throws at us, we know we will always have each other. School girl crushes, teenage love affairs, heart aches from losing“The One”, marriages, babies, divorces and tragedies, we have shared it all in each other’s lives and would not want it any other way. We now live 4 hours apart and are super busy mums and a weekend away together would be fabulous! Time to gossip, laugh, and cry as we reconnect once again.

Stacey hart

Ok how do I choose just ONE friend!!! I can't so I would organise my closet dearest sister friends (6 of us!!) and go for the weekend. I moved away 3 years ago for hubby's work (fifo) - missed my girlfriends like mad!!! Me being the first of the group to have children I missed my closest girlfriends (sisters) have their first bubbas but I was still there, phone, texts, Skype all hours of the night to be there for them!!! Well guess what - IM MOVING BACK TO CAIRNS IN MAY!!! This would be perfect for us imperfect mums!!! Xx

Melanie Russell Lyon

I would take my beautiful friend Krystle. She has been my friend for soo long an has been there for me through everything as I have been for her. Even though I have moved 23hrs away she is still the greatest support an is the 1st person to be there whenever I need a caring ear to listen to me. She is an amazing mummy to two little men who she never gets time away from an she wouldn't have it any other way. She is the most loving an affectionate person everyone in her life an has the purist heart of gold despite the hardships she has been though. I would love to take her on this very much needed break an give her the pampering my beautiful friend really deserves. Honestly no matter what I write words cannot explain how much of a beautiful an genuine person Krystle really is.

Jodie Fitzgerald

I would bring my mum! I love her to bits, and she has not been on a holiday since before I was in high school, well over 10 years ago! Since my dad passed away from leukemia she has been working and raising my lil siblings and I feel that she really deserves a break <3

Alissa Butler

I would bring my friend Kira, she is a great friend who was by my side when I was dealing with issues with my ex. She is my go to girl and listened to me every time I was down or I felt he was being unfair. She stood by my side even when most my friendis didn't want to deal with the drama my ex was putting me through. I have decided she will be my next child god mother because I know she is a great friend and can always count on her.

Bec Grier

I would take my best mate Cat.. she has always been there for me and between kids and life we never really get the chance to catch up..I think we both deserve a weekend away to relax and have a good time :)

Alanna Kelly

There are many friends i would love to take, and my hubby is one. But i think at this point i would love to take a friend that i have made through this amazing page. Candice and i have become friends after our mum's passed away last year, shortly before having our own daughters. We haven't met so it would be great!

Rochelle Bing

I would take my mate Tracey Kalaitzis. TK has never been part of a sisterhood before and I'm delighted to be showing her how important it is. We are both Scout Leaders with 5 kids between us. TK has been through some life changing crap lately and I want to show her how amazing and strong she is. Love your guts Traz xx

Bianca holland

If I won this (it would be the first thing I have even won hehe) but I would also take my best friend Paula who is much deserving of this holiday away. She's had a bit of a rough time over the past couple of years and a couple of recent set backs but she's the kind of person that would always put you first rather then herself, she's a single mum of 3 and never ever gets a break so I'm sure she would be very blessed if we were to win. Xox

Courtney Gonano

So I'm turning 30 on Monday & everyone keeps asking am I afraid well no I'm not this last year would have to be one of the best of my life is my response. I completed my family with my 2nd daughter, I have an amazing hubby that works away in the mines to provide the best life he can for us & I'm back at work full time (I love my job). To top it off we are building our dream home (yet to start but happening this year) & living with family for the last 2 or so years. I've met some amazing friends on my life journey so many that hold a special place in my heart but this last year has really made me appreciate true friendship so much so I've stepped outside my comfort zone and reached out to new people...its funny how you make the best of friends from different circumstances. So I look at life & think ahhhh this is what I've worked so hard for!! I would take my new mate Tahleah if I was lucky enough to win.

Crystal Rogers

I would love to take one of my good friends Ros Byrne, I have been through a tough past 18 months with a terrible break up. She's been there for me through thick and thin. We both have two young children and hardly ever get time to ourselves, in 12 months I haven't had a break away from my two daughters and I would love to win this weekend away so I can find myself again as well as show Ros how much her friendship means to me.

Angel Yaffa Green

My soul sister Emma Miley came into my life when our eldest were only three. We have celebrated life together since then, laughed in the sunshine and cried in the rain. We have survived birth, death, marriage and divorce with each other. No matter what without judgement we have always invisibly held each others hands and hearts, the union between women, the sacredness of this space is something the we respect and hold dear, it is so special and comforting to know that no matter what I have a friend that will always be my very best friend. I am the best person that I can be because my soul sister my best friend continues to support and inspire me xx

Jennah Sobevski

I would take my lovely friend and fellow imperfect mum beck dando. We have known each other for 6 years and we even got married on the same day! Our babies are one month apart (& totally going to get married one day) we also have a good friend who lives in Queensland (we are in Geelong) and we don't get a chance to see her & her daughter (same age as our children) very often so we could organise a catch up with her too. We work hard and our husbands definitely deserve this holiday away from us haha

Gabrielle Louise Camp

If I won I would take my beautiful big sister, Gillian, she is the best supportive sister and an amazing Aunty to my two sons. She has been there through my ups and downs and supported me so much when I became a single mum. She is definately an amazing person and I would be lost without her!

Holly

I would bring my best friend, I love her like a sister. She is currently separating from her husband and I would love to whisk her away for a weekend to forget the stress of it all for a least a little while! She always puts herself last as do most mothers but I honestly believe she needs some time out with me with no kids for a good d&m just like old times!
