How to heal yourself

Hi IMs,
Been a part of this community now for 8 years and gosh it’s been a wild ride.
I’ve got 5 kids, I’m still under 30 and managed to get myself a uni degree and now work in that industry part time. I feel like I’ve achieved the things that I wanted to when I was younger, which were be a Mum and have a good job.
But it’s not that simple is it?
I’ve manage to be in 2 seperate relationships that were abusive and controlling in different ways and am now recently single after trying for so long to make it work.
But I just want to know where healing myself and developing self worth begins?
I don’t know if I’m depressed or my mind is just so manipulated by others but I just never feel content.
Just another heart broken IM x

Firstly, you've done amazing!!!! 5 kids, Uni degree, and a career!!
Next is obviously counselling. Your workplace probably has an Employee Assistance program to start with.

I would sit down, think back to the assholes, and write a list of red flags that you didn't see at the time.
When / how did it start?
Why did you ignore the flags?
What aspects of someone will you absolutely not accept in the future, and how will you recognise them?
What will you tell yourself if you see those flags, to remind yourself to walk away next time?
Do you think it's better to have a shitty man than be single?
At what point will you walk away for your & your kid's wellbeing, rather than try so hard to make it work?
Why do you wait so long?

All of these things are to help you move forward in a healthy way, and not settle for less than you deserve.
It seriously doesn't matter if you're single forever. You can do life on your own, you're killing it so far!!!
Why try and drag a POS along with you??
