COVID-19 Isolation.

Trying to figure out how the system works...
I'm in regional NSW, My family is in regional Vic.
My daughter has had a high risk pregnancy with very little support.
My plan was to go down when she had the baby to look after and support her.
I have an Autistic Son that I could net leave behind due to mental health issues..
We applied for an exemption to isolate at home as I know it was not an option for us to spend 2 weeks in a hotel in Sydney on our return.
We were not going to a hot spot or even close to Melbourne.
While waiting for a reply My Mother had stroke (last Saturday)..
I have rang & emailed all the numbers and email addresses I cant find.. I have included letters from Drs and explained in detail WHY I would like to be there, and this was the reply I got today.

Good Afternoon
Thank you for your application and follow up email. As your case does not fit into one of our traditional compassionate categories, it will be reviewed by our Victorian Border Team.
Your case will be taken to their panel for review. This process may take a little time, as we need to review each case individually.

I struggle to understand how some celebrities and athletes, can get exemptions while I sit here checking my emails every couple of hours hoping for an answer!!!

This may not be the end of the world for some, but i am heart broken..

As much as it sucks, it is what it is. My family hasn’t met my baby and my partner hasn’t met his first grandchild. Unfortunately having a baby isn’t enough of a reason to cross the border. Imagine how many people would be crossing back and forth if it was the cases. Hundreds a day. It shouldn’t be like this for much longer
