Exhausted all the time

Exhausted all the time

Hi ladies! I need help.
I’m so exhausted all the time.
I want to know if anyone else feels/felt like this and if it’s normal or if anyone found some answers.
Here are the contributing factors:
I have one very active toddler who requires constant supervision as she is constantly climbing dangerously and pulling any and every object down off all surfaces all the time.
Last year I went back to work full time, working in a very demanding job that is also high energy. Not only did I go back to work, but I changed jobs slightly which meant a bunch of new things to learn and master.
I suffered from PND last year quite severely. I won’t go into that too much as I’m only mentioning it to say that’s another thing that affected my energy levels. Suffice it to say that I sought help and I’m through the worst of the depression.
I consistently have low iron, and am taking iron tablets but I’m booked into see a naturopath soon to have some tests done for vitamin deficiencies.
I have pretty bad anxiety at the moment. I’m learning that being anxious about lots of things all the time is quite energy consuming also.
Finally, I can’t sleep. I feel like I haven’t reached the restorative part of a sleep cycle in 2 years. I wake up with headaches and drag myself out of bed in the morning. I save all my energy for work and my toddlers needs and then on the weekend I’m too exhausted to stand for longer than 5 minutes. I can’t play with my daughter or do anything for myself. I’m honestly so sick of feeling this way. I have an extremely supportive husband, but when he suggests I go for a nap I cry. I don’t want to spend my free time napping. I want to do things and play and talk and laugh.

Is this just how it is with an active toddler?
Do I just have to ride it out?
What if I want another baby?
Is it going to be like this for another 3 years? Is this what it’s like for everyone?
Am I just failing where everyone else succeeds?

Get a sleep study, could be sleep apnea.

The main symptom of low iron is exhaustion!

See if you can get an iron infusion. I've had friends with anaemia have these and they say they feel like different people.

Thai was me! I had 3 under 5 and mostly on my own while my husband worked away. I loved having my kids so close and I wasn’t working but days I felt like I was just gonna crash and burn. I felt like collapsing. I just wanted someone to be there in my kids lives to play with them and enjoy our company. It was so lonely but I have my kids and that’s all that mattered. Request an iron transfusion as it works straight away and also get some vitamin b tablets. This can help with the anxiety and also magnesium is great. Stay on them and don’t stop, you will eventually feel them working. I also got an antidepressant which helped me amazingly. Iron transfusion will do you the world of good though. It worked instantly for my mum and she had so much more energy. also you can get some natural sleep medication from a naturopath and have a calming bath in the evening before bed. You aren’t failing. It’s just an obstacle. I’ve had so many issues the past year and felt like crap but slowly, I’ve got through them and just coming out the other end of it feeling great. Get your iron sorted out first, you’ll be amazed at the difference. Cut back on work. Try to limit things and allow more time out for yourself. Enjoy that nap, relax and shut off. Meditate. It all helps.
