I’m 38. I decided to embrace the salt and pepper hair. I was just over dying it and not getting the colour I wanted and all the damage.
But.. twice in the last month while out shopping with my 2yo. I’ve been told. ‘Your granddaughter is so cute’
This has just killed my confidence. Dead. I ugly cried both times.
Has anyone else had this happen embracing the grey? Did you just not care and lived your life or did you cave and dye it.
I feel like caving

I gave embracing the grey a red hot shot. I tried colour depositing shampoo. I dyed myself. I felt unattractive.

I recently realised I need a hair dresser to do the roots regularly so that it looks good, I feel good, and it's better for my hair than home dyes. I found one that works from home and is more reasonable pricing wise than a salon.

I think it comes with the territory, grey hair is going to make anyone look older! If that affects your confidence I don't think you should be embraced it, nothing wrong with dying your hair.

I have a 3 year old grandson and am early 40's. Whenever I take him out I have found that people younger than me assume I'm nanna and people older than me assume I'm Mum lol.

I’m all for embracing the aging and doing it gracefully, I’m 37 and I would also cry if I was mistaken for my kids Nanna 😭 people are just so presumptuous and a bit rude. You’re a braver woman than I am, and I can silly admit I’m vain 😭
