Hi all, just looking for advice from anyone who has had similar experience.
Three weeks ago my Mirena fell out. I started spitting a day or two after that. After a week it got to the stage where I was bleeding really heavily and passing clots the size of 20-50 cent pieces ( gross sorry!) I ended up going to the Ed after 5 days of this and of course it seemed to settle down when I was there! They gave me tranexamic acid to slow it down. The day after I had a follow up appointment with my gp and the bleeding was back to being really heavy again. The gp added progesterone and ibuprofen meds to help it stop. So after about 7 more days it had all but stopped. So I stopped taking the medication. Now 2 days later and I’m back where I started! 😩😂
I have an ultrasound on Friday but so far with two examinations there doesn’t appear to be an obvious reason for it.
I guess I’m just wondering if anyone has had a similar experience with the mirena coming out and how did it turn out.

That was me before my Mirena. Once I got it everything settled down. I was 42 and was already peri-menopausal. By the time the Mirena stopped working I had gone through Menopause, so never started periods again. Not sure your age, but could your body have been moving toward this bleeding and the Mirena falling out stopped masking it?...
