International money transfer

International money transfer

My partner is currently working overseas, he is wanting to transfer some $$ to me to help out with xmas and beyond. What is the best way to do this. We have tried an international bank transfer from his US bank to my AUS bank and so far we are up to 5 days waiting. (it bounced back once, but apparently this is normal since 9/11) Any other tried and tested ways to do this.

So its the first time he's sending money? I would think you just need to wait. Especially if its already been sent and pending, you can't really cancel. Why doesn't he have an Australian bank account? It would have been a lot quicker, if not instant. You're not the Mum whose partner had another life with someone else, are you? I wouldn't take him back!

Im more concerned it has gotten lost or he incorrectly entered some numbers. But it haven't bounced back his end. His wages are being paid into a US bank account hence the reason for transfer. Nope that wasnt me. Hopefully another couple of days and it should arrive.

Sounds like a cat fish pretending he's going to pay you back for the money you sent, but coming up with excuses as to why it just won't go through. I did a transfer to Indonesia, they got it within minutes through wise, not like the old days through the bank, took three days. Try wise and see what he says.
