Adenomyosis/Endo

Adenomyosis/Endo

I have just been diagnosed with Adenomyosis after a scan for abnormal bleeding. My Dr didn't give me much info and since I hadn't heard of it before I didn't know what to ask. But now I've googled it and see there's different stages, no idea what stage I am. My periods are not very painful but I have fatigue, bloating, leg pain, frequent peeing, etc. I would just like to know if anyone found mirena or similar to help with these symptoms if they have Adenomyosis or endo? The Dr told me i should get it if my periods become painful. I have had the mirena before but didn't have this then (I had scans before it). Just would like to know if it helped Adenomyosis/endo symptoms.

If it is highly suspected you have endo, it is important to find yourself a surgeon that can help you. The earlier the intervention the better. There are Drs with added specific training to excise endo properly, not just a normal gyno. A mirena irritates my endo. There is no correlation between pain and stage. The symptoms described could just be adenomyosis but the only way to diagnose is to have surgery or a DIE scan but that only works if it’s advanced.
