I had a merina iud put in on Thursday. My first one ever. I’ve had minimal bleeding since. But this morning the bleeding is quite heavy. Is that normal? How long until it will settle down?

I had my first one put in 3 weeks ago and bleeding every singe day, I’m finding it exhausting, Dr assures me 4-6 months to settle, wish it would hurry up. During that time, I’ve had probably 2 days with very heavy bleeding.
I spotted for a few days and then iv been period free for the past 4yrs.
We're you due your period at this time?
There is no guarantee that it will stop your periods and the Dr should hsve told you that. If your worrier you can have an ultrasound to check its placement
