Does a narcissist just have so much experience/practice being a narcissist that everything they do/say just comes straight out naturally or do they have to have a quick thinking brain? Like every single thing they do is so calculated, even when you think you’re ahead, nope, they still get you. They just hang on every word you say just so they can either fight you on it or bring it up later. I feel like literally every single word I’ve ever spoken will be used against me later somehow. How can their minds just be that on the ball ALL the time with everything? Just need a little rant but also just trying to understand them!

It comes naturally BECAUSE of the way their brain works. I’ve really thought this through as well. And found it incredible looking back, how there’s a pattern for a reason - they all do and say the same thing, it really is like they have a play book, but it’s not smarts (although smarts and power would probably make them even more dangerous) but it’s their natural mode of operation.
You will go crazy if you try so hard to understand them!!
I look at it this way. This is how they learned to survive their world/childhood. They know it inside out, because they needed to. They also know us. They research us and know all our emotional triggers, anything they can use against us to gain an advantage.
I forgave myself for not ever being able to predict what mine was going to do next. Because my mind does not work like that.. it's a compliment, thank goodness.
