Hi ladies I'm wanting to try to get my son into a highschool that's not in my zone. I need to submit a letter with the application. Does anyone have an example letter or can tell me what I need in the letter. I'm not sure where to even start.

I would outline your reasons. Siblings/family? Is it due to your work - give the details of why you’ve chosen them. Do they offer something he’s interested in? Show his history of commitment to it and samples of his work. Outline his fit at this high school. Explain his personality/ behaviour, show roles he takes on, highlight / quote a comment from his report card.
I would look at their policy to see how they select out of catchment, and highlight any points on that which he meets.
Keep it simple as they won’t read more than one page then skim over it.
If you know someone in area change your licence stay there a week tell them you staying there and get a stat dec to say you are. They approved my kids. I was staying there though but they never asked for how long
You need several bills in your name at that address now, water bill etc they've wisened up to that trick. Some even ask for your lease if renting
Just like going for a job interview . You need you need to sell his best attributesto the school . So all primary school certificate. Any out of school sporting accomplishments etc. Add in the reasons you want your son to attend the high school eg subjects not offered at the school he is zoned for etc.
