Period 7 days late but negative pregnancy test

I'm 43, I have 3x children, I have hashimotos. I've always been like clock work with my period. I tested positive before I was late with my other children.
For the first time I'm late 7 days and testing negative. Has anyone experienced this? I have made an appointment to see my Dr but can't get in for 5 days.

It may just be the start of changes in your cycle. Mine started to become irregular at your age, but testing again in a few days and seeing your GP is sensible.

I was late last month and I’m 44, I was freaking out but ended up getting my period. It could just be age related but if there is a chance of pregnancy, I’d say that is more likely. You are older now which may affect the results. Try again in a few days.

Have you been trying to get pregnant?

You could very well be in peri menopause .

For me this was the beginning of perimenopause. You can even be in this up to 10 or 11 years before you hit menopause. I do not mind the shorter periods or longer times between them but sometimes it plays with my head. Have you looked into Happy Hormones? Don't forget that stress and all sorts of things can delay a period as well xx

I'm 42 and have always been like clockwork too, 28 days on the dot, every month apart from when I was pregnant and breastfeeding.

Since the last quarter of last year my cycle has been all over the place. Huge gaps between periods (2-3 months) and then okay for a couple of months, then gaps again. My mum started menopause close to my age, as did her mum (my aunts and Nan on my dad's side all had hysterectomies so can't ask them, LOL). My GP checked my estrogen and progesterone levels a couple of months back and apparently they were fine (prog was low but I ended up getting my period the day of the blood test 🤣) but he said it's probably the beginning of peri-menopause. I haven't had reason to think pregnancy (haven't had penetrative sex for a while).

I would see your GP for tests if possible. It might be a random late period, could be the start of changes, small chance it could be something not so great. Best get it all checked out and be sure.
