Hello!
We are looking at moving interstate to the Mackay QLD region and was wondering if anyone can give me honest opinions.
We like the idea of a country, lush greenery feel but still close to everything. We have 3 boys aged 12 and under so looking for a safe neighbourhood. Somewhere they can ride their bikes around. We were specifically looking at Rural View, Mount Pleasant and Glenella. Would love to know more about these towns and surroundings as well as the local schools, facilities and activities etc.
I'm so nervous and unsure for our family and want to make sure we make the right choice.

I used to live in Slade Point and loved it! I wouldn't describe it as a country feel though, Mackay has beaches and big shopping centers so you may be disappointed in that regard. It's beautiful though and I personally never felt unsafe there.
