Do you believe in spirits?

so we live in a town that is apparently haunted, they have ghost tours here etc. anyway my daughter is almost 2 and the last week she is so scared of our house. bed time is the worst she keeps screaming saying "scary scary scary". I can't figure out why all of a sudden she is so scared? one of my friends out here told me it could be a spirit. Not really sure if I'm a believer or not but not closed off either. could it be? what should I do? as this has come completely out of nowhere!! please don't scare me and tell me it's a demon or something because then I won't sleep tonight haha

Is her room dark? Try leaving a night light on. Or lay down with her. I do believe in ghosts I have seen one but I don't think that every kid that is scared is seeing a ghost. There could be many reasons for it. I also don't think if a child that young saw a ghost they would be scared because they wouldn't really know what they are seeing.

Thanks so much for your reply. I did a night light tonight. As soon as we walked to her room she started screaming, I laid her down and she kept saying "scary scary" but I pointed out her new special light. Kept saying that's your special light. She cried still but not screamed and then went to sleep. Thanks so much for the tip, I feel so silly I didn't think of that!!

Yep. My son was fine until I moved into a new rental and then he started screaming in the middle of the night. He kept pointing at the corner screaming "that man". We moved again a short time later and it suddenly stopped. Next people who moved into that house told me they believed it was haunted.

For your own peace of mind connect with someone who can Sage/clense your house. It does not hurt.

I am sceptical about everything, yet at the same time have had premonitions and freaked myself out. My grandmother was the same, an aunt and my daughter started talking about her deceased great grandfather when she was little, yet she knew nothing about him. So I know there is more than what we see. I would never tell my friends/family this though

I don't know that I buy into the whole paranormal premise (and i mean all of it, from ghosts to demons to psychic mediums). I believe in science, facts and things that have tangible evidence. A lot of it is tied into religion as well (demons for example) so as an atheist, I find it all a bit hard to swallow.

Having said that, one of the houses I lived in when I was a child and the first rental I lived in as an adult - I don't really know how to explain it other than the energy was just...off, almost like you could physically feel the negativity or a sense of impending doom in the atmosphere. Perfectly normal looking houses, so it wasn't like there was this visually creepy vibe or anything.

So, I do think maybe there could be some kind of spiritual aspect that science doesn't have an explanation for.

As for your daughter, try and look at it logically.
Lots of toddlers can develop fears seemingly out of nowhere but it can be on par for their development. They're starting to understand self preservation but at the same time they're trying to make sense of the world around them. So things they may not be able to process, such as the dark, weird shadows, odd noises, people they don't know even! They tend to perceive those things as scary.
Halloween has just passed as well, you'd be surprised how much of that toddlers take in.

Grab some crystals, put them in a glass or wooden bowl. Or, I put mine inside a small organza bag under my pillow.
Try black onyx, black tourmaline, green obsidian, hawks eye, jade nephrite, white opal.

I wouldn't consider myself spiritual in any way shape or form, but I dont discount anything always open to having my mind changed.

I would suggest however that your child is just reaching that age where they are more aware of things being scary, like the dark ect. I would also assume that your daughter is possibly exposed to those conversations more because of the town you live in? Perhaps she's picked up on that?

Just another perspective 😊
