Work wear help!

Work wear help!

Ok ladies, i need help lol!

I work retail so I can be on my feet for basically 8 hours a day, my knees and feet are suffering badly as I get older.

I've worked retail forever but ive always had a uniform or very casual dresscode. I'm at a new workplace where the dress code is more smart than I've ever needed to wear before. We can't wear runners, converse style sneakers or anything like that. It has to be dress shoes or boots or flats etc, which I have many pairs of but all kind of contribute to my pain.

So part one of my post, I'm looking for recommendations for stylish yet good for my feet/joints shoes.

Part 2: I am sweating my ass off 😂
Again, business smart dress code, so think blazers, blouses, slacks etc. Everything I own is some kind of polyester/nylon/viscose/satin material and it's so not breathable.
What's everyone's cool work wear go to?
(Keeping in mind I'm on the curvier side).

Oh wow, retail is so hard on the body I'm not sure who comes up with these ridiculous standards but they're obviously not on the floor doing the work! I worked at woolies at 16 and always wore the wrong shoes and ended up with those tiny little veins that you can see, I have them near my knees and my ankles. This was at 16, a size 8, meant to be the fittest I'd ever be and ended up with old lady legs! I still have them now they don't ever go away. I would actually see if they are allowed to ask that you wear those type of shoes because I'm sure it would go against health and safety these days? Correct footwear is a big deal as far as insurance and compo claims go too.

Mary Jane flats with orthopaedic inserts.
Cotton, linen clothes. You might have to iron but they breathe better.

I swear by Birkenstocks, years as a teacher on my feet all day and they are still my go to. I’m now in an office environment and I feel for you looking for cooler professional wear, I’m still struggling with this but recently starting investing in some linen pieces.
