Hi Mums. I'm after tried and tested recommendations for period undies for pre-teens just starting their period.
I have never used them, but it seems 'that's what ask the girls at school' are using.
Can you recommend some undies that will look and feel like regular undies. Not too bulky, while still being absorbent. Don't look like a nappy. That hold the moisture away from the skin. Contain any odours and smells.
Sorry if any of my questions seem silly, but I am totally new to these undies.
I don't want to buy a heap of undies and find they aren't good quality.

I use modibodi undies. They have a range for teens. Not sure about the teen sizes but the womens sizes are the same as you would buy anywhere else. I’ve only just thrown a pair out that I’ve had for over 3 1/2 years and they still fit just as good as the day I got them, with no stretching. I only notice a smell while I’m sitting on the toilet, once they’re pulled up I no longer notice (unlike pads). The heavy/overnight undies are the only ones I notice as being a bit bulky, but I generally only wear them to bed so it doesn’t worry me.

Our 11 year old was showing signs the last few months. I got her Modibody boy legs.
She had a bit of a practice run wearing them to bed to get used to them.
We are now on period no#2
I bought a weeks worth, she had no dramas wearing a pad with them. She said its fine at school she feels confident.
She swam in them last week, no pad and was fine.
Breaks my heart how young she is.

I use modibodi but find by the smell at the end of the day really intense and gross.
