Queensland Wheelchair Accommodation

Hi IM's.
After a really rough almost 2 years, we really need a holiday!!
Catch : Husband is now in a wheelchair, due to what has happened during these rough 2 years.
We are a Family of 6 (2A 4C).
I'm trying to find beachfront / coastal holiday accommodation suitable for a wheelchair, Gold Coast or Sunshine Coast... We are located Brisbane Northside - Husband cannot sit for too long, so we are limited on distance we can travel (probably only about 2 hours).
If you have any recommendations, please comment 😁🤞
Please!
This Mama needs a break by the ocean...

Just letting you know that all accommodation providers need to have at least one room that is wheelchair friendly

My hubby is also mobility impaired. I get it!
I've learned to call ahead and check what the accommodation has listed as accessible. As previous poster said, all accommodation is supposed to have at least one wheel chair accessible room, but little things specific to your needs are better chatted about over the phone.
My hubby can use a crutch for short distances but so many places have the disability parking a million miles from the rooms, which means we need a chair... Same with resorts where the room is a long way from reception or our car...
We have this problem with airports too. They have so much walking, even from the curb to the check-in.
Can't do steps or step over a hob into the shower recess.
He needs a double power point at the bedside for his overnight assistance equipment - and not down at floor level...
A lot of this stuff people only know if they live with a disability.
Good on you for arranging a family holiday. Carers need care too! :)
