How do I get my business going???

I started an online business in March this year. I’m starting to feel a little deflated as I’m not getting any sales. If anyone could please give me some advice on how to get it moving, it would be much appreciated. I already have a website, Facebook and Instagram pages.

Are you very active on social media? Are you posting daily, weekly, hardly ever?
Are you keeping your prices competitive? Even just that little bit cheaper to help draw in some customers.
Have you tried a like, share and win promotion. Like my page, share my page and you could win........

I have done competitions and currently have a Christmas special, buy a certain product and get a free gift... I feel as though no one is interested but everyone around me is saying how much of a good idea it is

I also post on social media every second day so I’m always in people’s newsfeeds and even paid for my company to be an “ad”

You need to buy more ads.
Because at the moment you are only marketing to friends and family. That isn’t going to work long term. They also aren’t going to be motivated to share.
Starting an online business takes a lot of time and a lot of advertising (your friends telling you it’s a good idea, doesn’t necessarily mean it’s a good idea, it’s hard to tell a friend there business idea sucks). You’ve got to work hard to make up for those people who don’t accidentally walk past your business.
Plus your internet search, you’ve got to get that right. When you search your product on the internet how high does your store come up. If it comes up low, people won’t find it.
It’s probably a good idea to do some market research. Basically ask strangers if there is a market for your product.
Timing is important too. We are in a strange time financially so depending on what your product is it may be harder.

It all depends on the product you are selling. I run an online business too with online advertising and have done do for many years now and its always been very successful. I only use one platform and it always rakes in buyer's and had so from the beginning almost immediately. If yours isn't working by now it could be that not many people want to purchase your product? It can definitely be hit and miss out there and not always about your advertising. The product itself is probably not very sought after. It doesn't sound like an advertising issue as you seem to be doing all the right things in that regard.

Partnerships. Get onto bigger pages media, promotions, top 10 gift lists etc. Dont do comps and giveaways.

What is your business? If it's oils, makeup, Tupperware... basically any of those party businesses, people probably just aren't interested and have unfollowed you if you're advertising on social media. If you're selling something unique/handmade/a service of some kind, your obviously targeting your marketing in the wrong direction and should develop relationships with complimentary but non competitive businesses.

Place your products on Marketplace with your company details within the description. If you post your items advertise your FB page across all of Australia. If you have an Instagram account make sure that you are posting on there too... Not sure what your business is so a little hard to give exact advice. Have a look at what competitors are doing. DONT do what I have seen some companies do where they post 8-10 posts a day. You will lose people... Every 2-3 days on average is great... Depending on your product talk to the local schools about putting a little ad in their school news letter. Our local schools advertise local business. Do up flyers and do a letter box drop. Speak to the local McDonalds about them placing in the drive thru bags. Do a couple of markets OR go to the and hand out flyers... It all takes time. Best of luck to you.
