Has anyone else had cramps and brown spotting when it wasn’t time for a period?
I’m usually as regular as clockwork, every 28 days.
Today is day 20 and for the last few days I’ve had cramps on my right side, Iike a stitch you get from running but not constant.
This evening I have a little bit of brown spotting,
Anyone know what can cause that?

Infection? Peri - menopause? Could you be pregnant? Are u up to date with pap smears?
OP here. This morning I got up to go to the loo and passed a large blood clot and I have a lot of cramps
Any chance you could have been pregnant?
I don’t think so! I’m 45 and haven’t conceived at all on the last 8 years despite using no protection
I’d probably duck to the doctors and get a check up. Whatever the case is this doesn’t sound normal and could be an underlying issues. Or as someone suggested peri-menopause. Best of luck hun x

I went to work today and started bleeding badly and ended up at the ER. Diagnosed with dysfunctional uterine bleeding and given tranexemic acid tablets
