Psoriasis struggles

I started getting small patches of psoriasis in my early 20s and each year it only gets worse. I'm now I'm my mid 30s and i have patches covering my entire body. It resembles a bad case of measles.
I've tried various medications and topicals of differing strengths over the years and just when I think I find a solution my skin does a 180 and will flare up worse than ever. Winter is hell.
I've seen many specialists but have not tried injections yet as it's not recommended if you're still making babies or breastfeeding as I am, or it's been described as a last resort.
However I will be finished with breastfeeding by next year.
Please if you have had any experience with injections for psoriasis could you share it. Thanks very much in advance.

Hi, I’m a sufferer too!!
I use an epiderm cream, over the counter.
However, before I use it, I shower with unscented soap (to which 1 drop of lavender essential oil in it)
Then I dry using a micro fibre towel, and apply liberally with the epidermi cream 2x daily.
I apply the cream in the middle of the day at work without showering.
This keeps it at bay for me, stops the rash look, and takes away the prickle feeling. It gets better for me during winter.

I haven’t done the injections as they scare me. I was advised there is a chance it could make mine worse, as I seem to reach to certain things.

They don't just give you biologics unless you want them to be super expensive you have to have tried 2 convential treatments UV and methotrexate for example and have them fail before you can get subsidised biologics (I assume that's what you mean by injections)
Currently on methotrexate myself for 13 weeks if it fails then I will be on biologics.
Pretty sure UV therapy is OK for breastfeeding mums. Try the facebook group Aussie psoriasis sufferers for more info and to ask questions.

Contact John Hoskins Chemist in melbourne. He has great things for psoriasis. I don’t live there and I ring up and they post it to me. Honestly the best thing I ever did. Couldn’t find anything anywhere. Speak to them and tell them and ask what they suggest. They know what they are doing when it comes to psoriasis. I get it on my scalp and this is the only place where I can clear my scalp with their solution. They make it up there and post it out. Highly recommend. Phone 03 9379 7797 ask them
For some info and what they recommend. They’d be happy to answer.
