So I got measured at athletes foot for mine. I wear brooks but mainly for running. Other brands i tried were ASICS, saucony and mizuno. It cost just over $200 and I do get plantar fasciitis at times. My doctor had me stretching often and also new shoes were supposed to help.
Husband has orthotics for his feet and suffers from the same pain.
The Athletes Foot for runners and podiatrist for custom inserts. I use generic inserts in some of my shoes that I don't wear as often or don't stand b in a lot but my podiatrist has also customised them a little with some extra padding where needed.

What type of shoes? Running, work, normal shoes?
Just an everyday runner type thing that could be used for walking

I wear brooks. Expensive but it was the only shoe I could train in
Birkenstock are what really helped me, they mould to your foot shape! I have lived in them ever since!
