What are others doing with their partners come friday arvo and the weekend..
We live in the country and it literally feels like we sit on our phone. Money is a bit tight but have been trying to plan a getaway for awhile and just hasn't happened. We have two young children and im bored out of my wits and missing time with my partner.

My partner has cricket on TV and he is listening to a podcast. I am on my phone. This is how we spend most of our nights lol but I really don't mind.
Do you guys drink? Maybe have a quiet drink and play a board game.. in summer, we tend to sit out back and play cards or a game together once our two little go to bed. It's been a while since we've done that though.
We are in the suburbs near the city and we just had a pool play date with one of the families of my daughters friend. Friday night normally is a night where we get a video and chill at home when the kids are asleep. Tonight my husband will watch he cricket and I will read my kindle.
Other things we do which I really enjoy are playing board games or playing games on the PlayStation together. We aren’t into computer games normally but every now and then it’s a lot of fun.
Friday nights we usually get takeaway or go out for a meal as a family so the kids can have a play, however our son is sick tonight so we just had a quiet meal with family at home. Then when he was in bed we watched a tv show and he stayed up watching sports on his phone for a bit.
The weekends are really our down time where we let one another have that quiet time after a busy week at work, so we give each other a sleep in (I’m Saturday, he’s Sunday).
We often have friends come over on Fridays. A few drinks, play pool, listen to music, might chuck on a BBQ.
