Publishing a children’s book

Hi mummas
I have written a children’s book (ages 4-8) and I’m not sure how to move ahead with it. My vision is for it to be a picture book but I don’t have access to an illustrator. Can anyone point me in the right direction, who to contact, what to do next?
Thanks

google ‘children’s book publishers australia’ and a number of publishers pages will come up. You then contact them

I have been submitting picutre book manuscripts to publsihers for a few years now, it's very difficult to get noticed and to find a publisher who will actually take picture book manuscripts to look at as they get thousands of submissions a year. Good luck with it, I just keep persisting. A friend of mine had her picutre book published by paying most of the cost herself. There are a few publishers who will do it that way, but I think she paid about $8000, but at least hers is out there now and on the shelves in shops.
