Working abroad

Hi everyone I know this isnt really a mummy question but I'm hoping it's ok to ask..
Forever since I can remember I wanted 2 things in life.. to be a mum.. and to travel the world.
Becoming a mum wasnt easy for me. It took countless months of heartbreak then fertility then miscarriages then stronger fertility.. 10 years later here I am a mum of 2 beautiful boys! I'm so glad I started my mum journey so young because of all the issues that I had!
But now I can't stop thinking about phase 2 of my ultimate dream.
Sadly income wise traveling the world seems sooo out of reach for us. Getting here was hard and we are both only in average jobs so we get by but no room in the budget for traveling the world.
I've been in the same career for the past 12 years and I am wanting a change or to expand.
I was wondering if anyone could suggest careers that could have the possibility of working in different countries. Has anyone gone abroad with their families and made it work?
I come from an early childhood background and was going to go on to complete my bachelor but will that help me in English speaking countries?
Am I being silly dreaming about something like this. Can it really be possible?

Anything is possible. But contract working overseas is usually for singles. And you'd have less money than now and uproot your kids. Why not plan to travel when the kids are a bit older?

My parents travelled after us kids left home. They've been to a few different countries and have more funds to do so now compared to when they were in their 20s and 30s. If your working dream doesnt happen that's always a possibility. I'm glad my parents are getting out there and seeing the world.

You need to get your Batchelors degree(4 years full time) , get extensive and worthwhile work experience (say 3 years) and then you could potentially get a quality position within an international school that provides sufficient income to support hubby and your family.
When I was young and single, I taught English overseas, it was great but would not be enough income for a family.

These days most teaching English abroad jobs require at least a Batchelors degree now too. Honestly, without qualifications or specialist skills, you aren’t likely to realise this dream. Just being honest, I have looked into this extensively and have two degrees.

I paid extra tax for years so each year when I got my tax return I would keep it plus $50 a week. I just got home from 9 months travelling the world. South, Central, North America’s and Europe with my 13 year old daughter. We did housesitting in exchange for free accommodation, we stayed with friends, we stayed in hostels, hotels and air BnBs. I am a single mum with a part time job so it is doable but it takes sacrifice. I drove an old car and was very frugal. But for me it was worth it to be able to travel. I spent my birthday at Machu Picchu in Peru and my daughter spent hers in Greece. Good Luck, just know it is possible!! If you have any questions I am happy to make contact.
