Hartleys crocodile park is amazing! Also a day trip out through the waterfalls in the Atherton Tablelands.
Also Green Island is amazing especially with the semi sub experience. We went with Big cat green island reef cruises for a day trip.
Cairns waterfront, Kuranda rainforest markets can spend a day there easily, they have a boat that does river trips too. Night market. Go to AJ Hacketts you can get lunch or drinks and watch the people bungee jump and maybe have a go...
