What name to pick?
Hi, my DD is Amber and I really like the name Jade. My DH likes Jade but is concerned that the girls will be teased and people will laugh at name choice (given both precious stone and colour related). We both like Kayla as second best choice but for me, not nearly as much as Jade. We can't seem to agree on any other girl names. Help, what do we do?

You're over thinking it. If you like Jade, go with it. I doubt anyone would (kids especially) notice or care about the stone or colour reference.
Yeah I agree noone looks into other peoples kids that much. Kids are highly unlikely to get the reference or care
Personally I think a different name sounds better. But I do know if you lovethe name, do not choose something else just because of things like this. Use it or youll regret it.
Kayla Jade is pretty.
I don't think they would be teased for that. If you like the name then stick with it. I gave my first daughter a middle name other people liked and regretted it...I wish I had just picked what I liked not what other family wanted.
No one will notice the stone thing. If anything they'll get teased because they sound like stripper names 😊
You call your baby whatever you and your hubby decide, and then call the next one Teal and have a colour trio 😉
Just hoping to get more opinions. Due in a week and still thinking of using the name Jade with the middle name of Erin. My DH is also slightly concerned that Amber and Jade are stripper names. I just love the name Jade and can't find any other name that comes close to it!
