COVID 19 testing

Ok so has anyone been tested for COVID? How long did it take for a phone call(positive) or text(negative)? If you had it what were your symptoms?

It took 3 days to get the results they were negative however I had all the symptoms.

You are given a leaflet and told to self isolate until you receive a call with results.

If you have any symptoms please go get tested this is serious

My friend was positive and only had a sore throat and a fever was told in 2 days of positive

Thanks for your response I did get tested Friday afternoon just like you understand I’m getting impatient waiting for the results.
I got a cough, diarrhoea, exhaustion, headaches etc so just waiting and self isolating

My parents (SA) were tested on a Wednesday afternoon and were messaged early Friday morning.
It may take longer over the weekend.

Covid 19 is looked upon like a sexually transmitted infection. If someone said they had HIV its seen as dirty as covid . Sad but true .

I think anyone that is sick is getting avoided now and treated like a bit of a leper, which is a good thing it's one of the reasons it hasn't spread in Australia. But I would have no problem with someone that already had it and was cleared, less chance of getting covid 19 off them than someone who hasn't had it.

Actually, it’s the same chance. People can be carriers of any virus without showing symptoms

No, it's not the same chance. A person who has had it already has a really slim chance of getting it again. Compared to someone who hasn't had it has every chance of getting it. Being asymptomatic is not relevant.

Actually there is not enough evidence for scientists or drs to make that call and won’t be for a long while yet!
