Re- menstrual cups... This is not children related but I really need help and unsure where to ask.
Since having bub 8 months ago I can't wear tampons as it causes alot of discomfort and pads make me physically sick to the point I'm gaging and I get red raw skin even though I have tried different brands. I brought menstrual cups, 2 different sizes and have followed online and packet instructions but it just won't work. Please tell me what I'm doing wrong or is it possible not everyone can use them?
I fold it to a c shape, insert, there is no "pop" sound so like directed I felt to see if a circle shape and it's flat. I have tried so many times, I have tried turning it as it states and it won't budge to turn. I've tried pulling it back a bit, Re doing it ect but it remains flat where both the rims are touching and this is the small one. I though maybe just leave it and see if it goes to shape but it is so uncomfortable it hurts slightly. I would appreciate any information please.

I've been having the same problem. I've tried so many brands and sizes and shapes... I'm wondering if it just doesn't suit my body lol I got it on once properly in the shower and never been able to again
Sounds like maybe you don't have the right size.
Maybe some period underwear might be a better option for you? I've never tried them myself but I've heard rave reviews about Modi body menstrual underwear.
My Modibodi knickers fell apart in a month, and leaked terribly. Their customer service is also pretty slow. I wouldn't recommend them.
I'm surprised. I've ordered lots from them over the past 2cyears and it's all been fantastic. I prefer it over everything else
It doesn't have to be Modi body specifically, that's just the brand I used as an example.
Loads of companies are jumping on the eco friendly train so there would be many other brands to try also!
I wasted money for it to do the same and they were so careless regarding the issue.
If a tampon causes discomfort, a menstrual cup will be worse. That said, I found the half v fold more effective than the c fold. https://www.intimina.com/blog/how-to-fold-menstrual-cup/?gclid=Cj0KCQiA9...
I use period underwear. It's great. A few years post birth (I used to love tampons the best) but love my period knickers the most now.
I just received my first cup and am currently using it now I have had absolutely no issues in inserting it and it has been the best thing ever I can’t even tell it’s there. I did have problems being able to remove it the first time but all good now. There are so many different brands and materials they are made out of I suggest purchasing the ruby cup in a medium. I have watched Lots of you tube videos some suggest putting a bit of lube on I personally haven’t tried that and some say trying different positions maybe have a listen those. I’m three days in and I must say it’s the best thing keep trying it will be well worth it
Try using a different type of fold. I found the c fold wouldn’t work for me either. If you google or YouTube it you will find a whole lot of different folds. I also would let some air in before completely inserting it and then twist, pull, twist, push up. Squatting made it easier for me. I spent about 5-10 minutes in the shower one day experimenting with different folds and twisting techniques before I learnt which suits me. In the end it was totally worth it.
