juggling work/study/kids

I'd love some tips on juggling study, part time work, household and family. Im starting work and study in January and I need to get some systems in place as I'm ordinarily very unorganized!
TIA!

I don't have any tips at this moment really. I am working full time, I have 3 kids under 6 and will be starting study in the new year as well. So I too would love some tips. At the moment, I have a menu planner, and detailed shopping list as well as my hubby and I share calendars on our phones so that he knows what I have planned, and checks the calendar before he plans things. I guess the thing we get behind on is cleaning the house :( But I am slowly getting a routine in place.
Pinterest helps as well, to give you ideas for organisation planners :) Good Luck

I always pack kids lunches night before and pack daycare/school bags the night before and get clothes out the night before. Think about dinner before going to work or night before so meat can be taken out of freezer and you can make sure you have everything you need.

My uni sends out a planner at the start of the semester so I can see what is due when. They also had plenty of tips on the usq website for juggling life and study. Personally I treat my study like a shift at work so I schedule in the same times each week to study what subject. I'm so unorganised this is the only way i can doit.

I agree with what others have written you will really have to become organised and schedule in study at home, family time etc. Menu planning, having as much done the night before for the morning and spending 10 mins before bed tidying the house - its surprising how much you can fit in in 10 mins - it is achievable i started off so unorganised at the start of the year and then once i found a routine the household operated so much better and was less stressful. Good Luck..

Invest in a slowcooker - THE BEST thing ever. I throw everything in in the morning and by the time we get home dinner is DONE. I have been doing some "once a month cooking" where you prep everything for all main meals and put it in one container and freeze it then take it out as you need it and throw it in the slowcooker or defrost & cook when you get home, no prep on the day (Google once a month cooking for ideas). Some of the supermarket recipe bases are really good. Plan your assessment task schedule from the first day you get your course outline and know when everything is due so you are not struggling in May & September when everything seems to be due. Start the first week to do the reading and research for your assignments. I find it is the reading that kills me, so I start as soon as possible. You are suposed to do 7 hours of independant work for each subject each week so plan your week and stick to it as in if you plan to study or read for an hour after the kids go to bed, don't get distracted by washing, schedule everything, including the washing. You will need to be super organised and stick to a routine. Having a routine for you all will save you from going nuts and feeling overwhelmed.

A massive time save I utilise is shopping online. I do my groceries online with woollies and have them delivered. You can save your shopping lists so you don't have to go 'browsing' the categories each time, just open up your biggest shopping list from a previous order, select all the things you need, quickly browse for any extras you don't buy often, and honestly can have the full weeks groceries done in 10 minutes! AND some lovely gentleman will bring it to your home and unload onto the kitchen bench for you!
