14 Year Old Possible Eating Disorder..?

Hi mums, Happy New Year first of all..

Just after some guidance and/or advice please as I don’t know how to navigate this situation.
My daughter is 14 and for the past 6 months or so had been obsessed with her weight. She works out everyday, counts calories, won’t eat anything fatty and only sticks to super lean foods. Good yeah? But the thing is, she is looking very sickly skinny to the point she looks borderline anorexic. Since this obsession started her period had also stopped and she hasn’t had a cycle at all since August 2023. Whenever I try to talk to her about it she says “you don’t understand, I don’t want to get fat and I can’t help what my head says”.. 😞
What do I do?? I’m scared she’s going to end up in hospital with a feeding tube! The thing is she DOES eat but it’s such tiny portions. Ugh I don’t know.. do I take her to the GP maybe? Dietician? I’m so lost and upset.. Any advice is appreciated ❤️‍🩹

Take her to the GP and find out where is best to take her to get help.

It's a long, difficult road. Eating disorders don't discriminate. My family member's child is having the same problem. With help, she's eating when in public & is getting slightly better.
