Has anyone been able to get a copy of their birth certificate fast without waiting for a new one to arrive which can take weeks? I have a new job, need to do a police check through their specific company which requires my birth certificate and I’ve lost it!! I’ve searched absolutely everywhere. Our bank hasn’t got a copy, I’m not sure who would or how to access a copy 😓😓 please help.

Call your local Births, Deaths and Marriages office and see if you can go into the office and apply there and have it printed.
It may be quicker than applying online.
You can get it the same day at the office. It just costs extra of course.
Search your emails. I always have a copy from when you need to scan ID. If you need the original, it doesn’t take weeks.
It depends if you live in the same state as you were born. I lost all our birth certificates when moving houses, I could get my kids ones straight away by paying extra as they were born here but I was born in NSW now live in WA and didn't have that option, it took weeks.
