Botox when pregnant

Botox when pregnant

Hello ladies I was just wondering if anyone has had Botox whilst pregnant. I usually get it for extreme migraines with the added bonus it gets rid of wrinkles. But it’s not about the wrinkles. I take medication but they are still band unless I’ve had the Botox. My Botox man said it’s ok as it is a tiny amount in my forehead and stays local in the muscle but it concerns me. Would love any feedback

Consult a doctor well trained in pregnancy health. Normal gps just tend to say everything is fine and I wouldn't be trusting some random botox dude. If it's fine go for it if not I suggest you try something else like acupuncture

I Googled it and most things I read say not too. As the above comment says, I wouldn't trust a botox guy on a pregnancy related concern. Definitely do some more advanced research into it first.

I looked into it during pregnancy and I was told no, especially by my GP. The place I was looking at also said no it wasn't safe during pregnancy. (Also looked at lip fillers which were a no as well).

You might have to get your doctor to refer you to a pain management specialist to look into some alternative treatments.
Good luck, migraines are terrible!

As with most things theres not enough research because they cant do the research, so they just say no or best not to and its your decision. And thats why a botox guy will say yeah its fine due to no research against it but it doesnt work that way.

It does say not to do it but call mother safe and ask them. They would be the best people to ask. I had my lip fillers done last year in june when i was actively trying to concieve then after i had them done i was told not to fall pregnant for atleast 3 months after having the procedure done. I freaked out and spoke to my dr who called mothers safe to ask them.tbey said that since i had the procedure done and i wasnt already pregnant then not to worry about it. I feel pregnant 4 months later and it hasnt affected me in any way. I wouldnt get it done while pregnant though. Wait untill baby is out
