My daughter (9) refuses to wear undies! I'm at my wits ends as to what I can do. It all started when she was about 7, i struggled for about a year n half making her wear undies and having tantrums (screaming, kicking, flopping around on floor) until I just didn't have the energy to keep fighting her anymore. She currently NEVER wears them. She always wears leggings (so nothing is shown) and when she goes to school she wears stockings under her shorts. Any tips would be great or if any of you beautiful parents out there have been through this, what did you do? Did your child get past it?

I have a sensory kiddo, so this is familiar with me, alhough mine would never wear stockings or tights directly on.
First try to figure out why she doesn't want to wear them, is it the elastic, the material? She can probably tell you exactly what she doesn't like about it. buy some different styles and materials, non elasticated or wide top, she might find one and only one brand she will wear - possibly bonds.
Is it that she doesn't wipe or drips and her knickers get wet? That can be solved too with spares and a discrete wet bag, and school support, but you really need to know why in order to help.
Ask her why she won't wear undies, then post her reply, please. Might help :)
Try different styles? Boy legs, even boys trunks see how she goes.
Is it a huge issue if she doesn't wear underwear at all?
I know many women who only wear undies when they have their period, my husband used to always go commando until an unfortunate pants splitting incident at work 😂😂, a lot of people find undies too restrictive and uncomfortable. Have you ever suffered through a day wearing undies that don't quite fit properly and they drive you to the brink of insanity lol? That's probably how she feels.
I imagine by the time puberty comes around she'll probably change her tune but even if she doesn't it's not a big deal in the grand scheme of things, this isn't a battle I'd focus on.
So..... What the hell did she say when you ask her why she doesn't wear them?????
