Miss 2.5yo is speech delayed. We are currently doing regular speech therapy sessions. Miss is really motivated by educational games and loves quality time with Mum or Dad playing these together.
We are considering buying a leapfrog leappad for her as her main Christmas present. But wanted practical/honest reviews from other parents. good idea, waste of money??
Extra points for apps or games that can be downloaded to a mobile or tablet.

My son has had his for 4 yrs and still loves it he’s 7 now and we just update the games each year they’re about 25 a cartridge off eBay
my daughter is 3 in a few wks and about to buy hers this afternoon.
Much better than iPad cause I know they can’t access bad content accidently
We did Jolly Phonics for our speech delayed children, and also ABC Reading Eggs. These can both be used with a cheap tablet like a Pendo Pad. We steered clear of things like LeapFrog as they are limited in their application. We felt a tablet would have a better life span and usage for our situation. Also chat with your therapist, they'll potentially be a font of information that is tailored to your families unique situation.
