Baby after a premature baby

Baby after a premature baby

Hello all.
I'll make it quick. I have had another baby recently, 28 weeker. Absolute little miracle!
Myself and my partner have decided after a lot of talks, we aren't done and we would like another baby in a year or so. I'll be speaking to my doctor about how to go about this so we hopefully have a full term baby! So what can I do prior to becoming pregnant, and whilst pregnant to give me a better chance at having a full term Bub? Can I hear some stories of someone having a prem and then go to have a full term Bub? My first 2 were full term babies, so we didn't expect this at all. Thankyou all :)

Congrats on your bub :)

Each pregnancy are different and things can occur for different reasons and some for no explanation. What have the doctors said? I know many people who had prem babies and continued to carry children to full term. I guess the only advice would be to take your vitamins, follow the dietary suggestions and take it easy. Unless they specifically know what caused it it most likely was just a freak thing to happen.

The best thing you can do is speak to your doctor about what happened in your pregnancy last time.
My friends first was prem due to an 'incompetent cervix'. Second child she had a stitch put in place in early pregnancy and went full term. Another friend had a perm but turned out all her pregnancies would most like be premature due to severe kidney disease.

Sometimes things are random and just bad luck. What happened in your first doesn't necessarily occur in the second a lot depends on what and the only way to know that is talk to your god tour.
