3 year old will not sleep.

Hello ladies!

I need help with my 3 year old.
Currently undergoing assessment for ASD and so far the Dr has said there's High indicators for it.
Now my problem is, all of a sudden she despises bedtime. She's had the same routine for at least 2 years so theres nothing new there.
We usually have to sit or lay in with her until she falls asleep however now she has horrendous meltdowns and it takes 2 hours for her to finally fall asleep.
We thought eliminating day sleeps might help- it hasn't.
Thought she might be over her toddler bed so changed her to a single bed- no changes.
Theres lavender inscense in her room to try and calm her
I'm honestly at my wits end, I have no idea how to help her or how to make this time more relaxed.
Every night I end up just as upset as her and it's incredibly draining for everyone.

Please throw some suggestions my way because at the moment I'm willing to try anything
Thankyou! X

One ASD mum to another, give you and her a break. Let her cuddle you on the sofa in front of the TV until she falls asleep for a while.

Talk to your peadiatrician about her change in sleep patterns when you see him/her. There are some natural medications that can help but she might be too young for them. But worth mentioning.

I find my son used to go through phases of this and breaking the cycle and battle of wills by letting things go for awhile broke the cycle and we got back into routine faster.

Hope that helps
