Bullying masterclass: we are teaching our children to be bullies.

I don't watch much TV. But due to circumstances this week, I have seen a few of the popular shows: MKR, Married at first sight and I'm a Celebrity Get me out of here.

Maybe I'm a bit over sensitive, but I'm totally horrified by what I'm seeing. These shows are honestly a masterclass in how to be a judgemental bully: groups of people ganging up against the odd one out, laughing at the antics of people who clearly have mental health issues, and generally people pushing other people down to feel better about themselves.

Why is this stuff on prive time tv? Because people love it. They watch it. They watch it with their children. They laugh. The go on online forums to spread the hate. It's just a bit of fun, right? Lighten up?

Next time you are watching one of the high drama scenes on one of those shows, imagine that it is instead your child's playground. And the one that everyone is laughing at is your child. Is it still so funny? Do we seriously have to wonder why bullying so so rampant in our schools? Just look at their role models.

As a society we are better than this. Let's start acting like it.

I don't watch any of those shows, but why stop there? I agree with what you're saying, but have you seen Peppa Pig?
This child thinks its okay to bully her father, shame him on his weight and just be a downright little b*tch.
Kids cartoons are just as bad as these shows.

Thats why I prefer my son to be outside playing than on these stupid tablets, xboxs, or watching tv.
