Exhaustion every time I exercise

Hi IMs
I would really like to make exercising a daily part of my life. I find that doing weights or running just makes me so exhausted I cannot function. I don’t enjoy walking I find it boring. I like a bit of a challenge. I eat a really good diet and I’ve had all my bloods done and everything is fine. Every time I start to exercise, in the hours afterwards and even the following day I find that I am so exhausted I can barely function, I am cranky and irritable. Exercise is meant to make you feel good but for me it does the exact opposite. I’ve mentioned this to the doctors and they just shrug it off. Does anyone have any ideas or has anyone experienced anything similar

There could be another medical issue underlying and no exercise should cause exhaustion that like. I’m so sick of Drs passing it off. It could be your heart, lungs, anything. Push for further testing. New Drs.

Depression and stress does this to me. It’s so fucking hard to get out of the hole and make good changes when good changes are bloody exhausting.

Oh my gosh, no answers but damn! Thank you for posting this! I am the same and ha e always felt embarrassed and 'lazy' for it!

All these people that 'love' their morning walks, or get such a high from a class make me feel absolutely terrible... It just does not work for me. I even gave a one-on-one private personal trainer a red hot go for 5 solid months, and in the end I still felt like crap after every single session.

I wish you lived nearby so I had a like-minded person to vent to and push through it with lol

I’d get a heart function test or similar to rule out cardiac issues.
Do you enjoy the exercise as your doing it? Or not really? I’ve found I enjoy Ariel exercise, so I’ve implemented that st home, I feel good for about 15 minutes whilst doing it, but I too feel exhausted for days after.

Please get a heart stress test done. For peace of mind. I just had one. Also lung function test.

Hello,
I highly recommend getting your B12 levels checked.
Although I was above the minimum, I was still low on the scale.
Once I started B12 injections, my life perked up instantly.
I do hope you find the cause of this soon.
