I’m hoping for some feedback on having a Hernia repair, Muscle repair (more than 100mm separation) and a tummy tuck through the public system in Townsville (or any AUS public hospital). I’ve been medically approved and am due for surgery next year. I can’t seem to find any patient reviews on the surgery outcomes or the plastic surgeons, particularly Dr Atul Ingle who I’ll likely be seeing. I’m accepting that the cosmetic finish isn’t 1st priority and repairing the damage is, which is also my first priority.
But I’d like to be aware of the type of outcomes/finishing of the procedure when being treated by the public hospitals. I’m assuming as it’s surgery by a plastic surgeon they would have the experience and skills and aim to finish tidy when it comes to the incision/suturing.
Any feedback or information would be very appreciated. Thank you 😊

A quick google search and he works in the private sector as well as public. His work will be his work wether he is public or private.
I’d google his private clinic to see if there are any reviews. However results in surgery aren’t always comparable. Any reputable surgeon will want you to look as normal as possible.
