Child and family healthcare accessibility

Hi everyone 😊 ok so I have a massive question for all mums from all areas . This is more of a survey type question. Firstly I am a nurse wanting to progress through to my nurse practitioner qualifications. I am also a mum . So, in my opinion there is a gap in child healthcare in communities , well more access to child healthcare. What I am wanting to question is a mum to say under 5’s especially ,what child health services do you feel are missing that would make raising young children easier , would access to more home visits be beneficial, do you feel you can’t just seek advice or baby weighs or checks as much as you would like? Please comment with anything and everything 😊 I know there is a gap in child healthcare and it’s availability to everyone from everywhere and every situation , but I want to hear the nitty gritty and know what the gaps really are. Why? Because I want to fix it 😊 so please don’t be shy , comment what’s missing in your opinion .

We need more access to allied health early intervention is vital for kids with disabilities but the reality is most people can’t afford it by having access kids might not go years and years without being diagnosed with certain things. My son adhd odd severe receptive and expressive language disorder was seen by a speech therapist at our local community centre and then forgotten about I was told he was fine for now needed some work but it could wait turned out it couldn’t wait and if he had that early intervention when he was little he may not have been so severe we knew there was something not quite right but when your told by a professional they can wait it’s not urgent you tend to listen and then think your just a shit parent that can’t teach them things better access to these key therapists etc could really change the course of a child’s life if they have access to the right early interventions.
