Im wanting to know how do we go about renting out our house, we have owned for about 4 yrs now we don't want to sell untill we know we are happy in the new location. I have no idea where to start this process so would love some info/ suggestions. It's all abit daunting as we have kids that will have to move schools etc aswell. Argh help one overwhelmed mumma

It’s very easy, you basically contact a real estate agent that does rentals. It’s pretty simple process, easier that selling. They may do one open house once you’ve moved out, but in this market it won’t be sitting empty long.
I don’t advise renting it out yourself it’s much easier to have an agent handle it, as they will make sure any repairs get done, inspections etc and they understand the laws.
You will want insurance on the house but the agent can advise all of that. We got three different agencies out and went with the one that we liked.

We did it. We put everything in storage. Got real estate to sign it up for a rental, did what we could to fix what we needed and move away. It’s easy. Start with finding a good reputable real estate. Now is a good time for it. We told them how much rent we would like and we moved away.
