Wondering about period underwear for myself. Which brands would you recommend?
BigW has a a range of options in store. I ended up buying one of a couple that I thought would be good, some will be better for different body shapes and they are usually labelled for flow level.
Check the crutch out carefully as one brand didn’t have the absorbent section sewn in to the sides,
Im wearing love Luna, I like them because they have decent length absorbent section.
I find on my heavy day I still tend to use a pad with love Luna, but my other days I don’t. So still a huge cut down in disposables.
I just bought Conni incontinence underwear (I was planning on getting their period brand but it turns out they're only a backup for pads) and tried them out during my period and they were fantastic. What I love about them is the gusset goes all the way up the front and back, whereas other products that are supposed to be specifically for periods seem too low in the front for me and I leaked out of Modibodis etc.
I was having a squiz at these in Big W today, I haven't personally tried any of them but I noticed the Modibody ones had a much thicker absorbent section than the Love Luna and Bonds ones (both the latter felt paper thin which had me very sceptical of their integrity lol).
So if I were to trial these undies, I think I'd go with Modibody to start with.
I use modibodi undies. Love them! I wear light moderate all the time for discharge and occasional light bladder leakage. Then wear moderate heavy and heavy overnight when I have my period. I’ve been using them for more than 18 months and have only just had to replace some of the light moderate undies, because I wear them so frequently. The others are still going after the same amount of time. They are definitely worth the expense.
When I had surgery on my cervix I just got the cheepies from bige, and honestly, they were not as bad as expected. I bled alot and I didn't leak at all.
