Hi girls,
My eldest who is 8 refuses to wipe herself after doing a number 2. She’s “scared” to dirty her hands while wiping.
She doesn’t seem bothered or embarrassed by it all.
It’s becoming too much with my other kids…
Any advice….

Mine went through this and I just put my foot down. I said I don't like wiping your bum either. You have to learn and you have to try. Then I supported with tips on how to, and I checked the first few times after she'd tried, and mostly support and celebration afterwards like potty training, but it was all hell refusing and she cried and sat there for half an hour the first time and I just put my foot down and said no. I'll show you how but you have to do it.
My son was like this, I would tell him it’s either get in the shower or wipe. For some time he chose showers until he got a bit older around 10. Baby wipes my help also but make her have a quick shower, she will soon get sick of that.
