I’m after some advice. Been married 19 yrs, 2 kids aged 10 and 13.
My husband and I have had a great marriage but the last 3 yrs there has been no affection, no intimacy, we just ‘live’ together. I’m no longer attracted to him and he feels similar. I mentioned to him last night I want to separate and he agrees.
There is no animosity between us and it will be amicable, but our kids will be absolutely devastated.
What I’m asking is, is how do we break the news and how do we answer the question of ‘why’????
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Would you not try to work on it?
I would not know how to answer the question why, or break the news if you have had great marriage. If you have no animosity after 19 years, can you work on it? Or maybe that's your "news" to your kiddos mum and dad are best friends but we have chosen to live alone. Are you so close that it is amicable, that your so close, yet so apart, but you still feel the same? I dunno its easy to feel the same same but not the same same after that length of time. I wish you all the best but don't go chasing waterfalls.
