Unknown chronic health issues

First of all I’m seeking on going medical advice from my Doctor.

I’m not asking for a diagnosis on social media , however I’m asking for others experiences if they have had something similar and how they kept pushing for answers.

Since about February I have been having pain in my body . It started off as sharp shooting pain which felt like my kidneys or something in that area - I left it for a few weeks to see if it disappeared on its own and by the time it got worse we were well into the Covid19 lockdown etc which made me hold off on going to the Drs.

I then started having chest pain aswell as the pains in my back and abdomen area so I decided to head to the Drs to make sure it was nothing sinister (I’m 29 years old) . The Dr took my vitals and all was fine . She did the generals bloods and all was fine.

This went on for weeks , with different blood test which feels like fortnightly almost as the pain I’m feeling is not normal. I had a ultrasound of my abdomen to check for Galstones (apparently that can cause chest pain ) it came back all clear .

It’ took a couple of months for her to send me for an Ecocardiogram of my heart - which come back mostly fine but there is a small amount of back flow into my heart with the “Mitral Vale prolapse” also know as a click murmur - She has assured me it’s nothing to worry about as it’s only minor & is most likely not causing me body pains else where .

After this she didn’t no what to do so clutching at straws I asked if she would suggest a chiropractor. She said to give it a try but I have had no relief after a couple of months.

Still feeling these chest pains and now daily headaches which are more like a sharp shooting pain in my head (similar to else where in my body ) I returned to my doctor week after week .

I then asked her to send me for some kind of MRI as persistent daily headaches , chest pains and body pains is not normal for months on end .

So she sent me for an MRI on my brain - The results came back and she said “ all looks fine” whilst ticking off the findings. However there is some “Scattered Subcortical white matter FLAIR hypertensities” she said this could be related to Migraines- but I don’t think I have EVER had a migraine in my life !

It’s now mid September and I’m at a loss - I have decided to change Doctors- He has sent me for some more bloods as well .....

Where to next , what on earth do I do ? I have young children and do struggle with it all some days but I’m trying to keep on pushing as I feel something isn’t right .

I’m still in constant pain daily & it has been months .

I feel like the Drs aren’t listening . Do I have to break down and cry to the Dr so they understand my pain?

Has anyone experienced Chest pain , headaches , shooting pains through body & arms and legs that have got a diagnosis?

Lost on where to next 😓

It’s actually quite possible you are suffering constant migraines.
I’d ask for a referral to a neurologist.

I have been through something similar, twice in the last 8 years I've had this pain in my left side which is so excruciating like being stabbed and burnt at the same time. It then spreads to the right side. It has lasted a week with hospital stays each time because the pain sends my blood pressure really high but other than that they have never found out what causes it. Had every test under the sun, no gallstones or kidney stones, nothing. Anti inflammatory meds helped both times. I have a suspicion it's dietary or digestive as that's the only thing that doesn't come up on tests. Strange though because I can't pin point anything different either time. So the only thing I suggest is rule out digestion issues, if I ever get hit with what I had again that's what I will be looking at. The other thing is when I went through it the first time they suggested it was back pain and showed me a diagram of how a back muscle injury can cause pain to the front around the ribs. So another thing to look at.

Get an mri of the 3 spines to check for ms, tumours and pinched nerves. It sounds like nerve pain. Definitely see a neurologist. If ur in qld I could recommend one

http://goldcoastneurology.com.au/ Meena is great and very supportive, says it how it is. If your feeling very anxious about it all and you mention it to them she sometimes tries to squeeze you in too.

I had a different situation but have seen her a few times over the years. It is very helpful for her if you already have the head and 3 spines ( Cervical, Thoracic and Lumbar) MRI's with you at first consult. 2 of the MRI's for spine may cost you completely out of pocket but it sure is worth it for peace of mind too.She does nerve testing and other testing in her rooms too. Good luck i hope you get it all sorted soon!

Could it be psychological? How is your mental health? I’m not saying your imaging it but stress maybe a factor.
Also your weight? Are you in a healthy weight range? How is your diet?

Ask your doctor about Fibromyalgia. I've suffered much the same for years now and finally found a decent doctors who listened and knows more then the basics and he sent me for CT scans on my spine which turns out I have osteoarthritis and for my headaches, other severe pain like I my shoulders and hands, neck, behind my knees etc turns out is fibromyalgia. Maybe read up about it and see if possibly the symptoms you have and fibro match.

See a neurologist. My husband had exactly what you are experiencing and he had “mild daily headaches” body aches but also numbness and tingling - after mri and nerve conduction tests and a lumbar puncture he was diagnosed with silent migraines. He too has scattered white lesions on his brain and you’d be surprised at how many do. Firstly, have ms and the other nasties ruled out. his neurologist said It is only concerning and indicative of ms if the lessons are in more than one place (spine, brain and optic nerve) Do you have balance issues, vision issues or tingling?

Replied to say he’s now on medication and no longer suffers. Took a year to get diagnosed and this was well before covid.

I could have written this myself.. I have just changed drs also. The hosp keep sending me away. I am
Exhausted and don’t know what else to do. Waiting on a MRI but I am sure it is MS maybe request an updated MRI as things change. I am in pain with nerve pain shooting eveywhere and not getting any answers. My stattted in abdomen and all came back clear form those tests. I’ve had enough and the anxiety is a killer!
