Uni Study / Work / Family and being a single parent

Hi Everyone. I'm after some tips from those who've studied uni online whilst working full time and looking after your kids 100% (single parent). What worked for you? How did you fit it in?

I've just started studying...and trying to figure out how to be consistent so I don't get behind. I'm only doing one subject at the moment (but also doing a course through work, so I guess that equates to 2).

Any tips or tricks are welcomed...I really want to do this but I also want to spend time with my family on weekends. The degree will take me 3 years full time (so it's going to take me at least 6 to complete)

I use to download and save the lectures onto my iPhone and play them in the car on the way to wherever I had to go 😂 I had sticky notes everywhere, inspiration quotes everywhere 😂😂 oh man good times 😉 late nights and cold coffees too!! You’ll be fine! Just persistence and find your own routine. Good luck

You need to schedule your whole week, every single hour. Plan when youll do cleaning, when youll spend time with them, when youll do dinner and bath, when theyll go to bed and when youll study.
Something has to give when youre studying, it just does. But the workload is only full on for a few weeks at a time and plenty of downtime in between which you use to catch up on life and kids and chill.

This. It's exactly what I do. I literally plan my schedule to the hour and write down what I need to study. I also always try to do 2 hours every day but where I can assignment depending give myself 1 day off a week for self care
