CSA question

My ex and I have a private collect arrangement based on what csa assessed and He does a scheduled tsfr each week.

But I don’t think he should be paying for the week he has them in school
hols but he thinks he should??

eta I feel that since kids are with him and he’s got the extra expenses that week that he shouldn’t be paying me

They calculate that including all his time and then split the amount into a weekly payment. So yes he should pay, hes not paying for that week though.

If you are going by csa estimates then all of that is taken into account and the payments are averaged out. If you really don't like taking it just withdraw it and give it to the kids as spending money while at Dad's.

Plus if he is only having them a week every holidays that's not really taking on the financial load, he won't be paying extra power etc and probably hasn't got a bigger house to cater for them where as you would have as the primary carer.

My ex and I used to do this so I understand where you are coming from. If he insists just pop the money from that week I. The children’s own savings account. As they get older you an let them know its their special holiday money from Dad.

When my kids are with their grandparents,. I get their dad to put the money for child support in their accounts. It gets split equally between them. This will then become their accounts when they start working and will be apart of their savings for that house deposit or first car.
