Feeling need to leave

Feeling need to leave

For the past few months I have been feeling extremely overwhelmed with work, kids, and home life in general.
I've asked my partner several times to please help me more around the house, help with our 2 autistic sons appointments, school work and such things.
He has started to cook once or twice a week when I am working a evening shift but thats it.
I'm feeling so burnt out that I just want to pack a couple of suitcases and move out on my own... run away from all the stress in my life.
I would never leave my kids because I know he wouldnt have a clue where to start with all their extra needs...
Is it wrong to feel like running away from it all.

No, it’s not wrong to feel that way, you are stressed and overwhelmed and your partner isn’t helping.

It would be wrong to actually run away.

It’s time to sit down with your partner and create a roster. It would help to have everything written down that you do already. This is what needs to be done when. If he can’t or won’t step up, then he needs to be prepared that that’s going to cost in the form of paying an outsider.

I think it’s also time for a really good chat to your GP.
