Adult acne

I'm 26 and I get acne like a teenager going through puberty. I'm absolutely over it. I've tried every product on the chemist shelf. I've tried soap/mud from the dead sea. I've been on different pills. Used different moisturisers. I've also tried skinstitut and products like that. And still my skin is always red and sore. Big pimples little pimples massive pimples and endless blackheads keep coming. I hate it I'm so embarrassed to the point I wont let any one see me with out make up.
I'm going to Bali at the end of the year for a friends wedding. I'll be there for a week. I have huge anxiety over it. Knowing I will have to take my make up off to go to bed and people will see me.
Right now I have one right next to my eye making my eye close over.
I need some help I really do. I hate my self for it. I see others that are far worse than me but to me it's bad.
My friends skin glows and mine is dull and red.
I eat so healthy, I'm on Levlen right now and using a non soap wash also mud mask from the dead sea.
What else can I do. What can I try. What is wrong with my skin. I'm an adult now not a teenager. I want to finally feel confident in my self.

Alya Skin Care is amazing!! You can find it on Facebook. My skin was awful and I’ve been using it for a month and the change is massive!! My daughters skin was as you describe and her skin is clearing up too.

Get a referral from your GP to see a dermatologist and ask for Roacutane. It will work!

I was similar. And id tried so many things... but the biggest thibg that helps was really regular cleaning of my make up brushes... i did it excessively to begin with (now just do it once a month) and also my pillow case. Id change it every second night so id flip the pilkow the nights in between.
As well as keeping my skin clean and not sleeping in make ip, this honestly helped tremendously.

I’ve been there lovely and it’s so debilitating, I really feel for you 😣 Firstly make sure you’re eating well and exercising and drinking plenty of water. Carry around a 1L bottle and try and drink two of those throughout the day.
If you already do all that then you can go to a GP for a referral to a dermatologist for Roaccutane. I did this twice and it did clear my skin for a couple of years but both times it came back..when it came back for the third time I didn’t want to go back for round three because it’s not great for you long term and it obviously wasn’t working as a long term solution so I went to a naturopath. A naturopath looks at the root cause and fixes the problem from within, where Roaccutane draws all oils from your body rather than focusing on why the excess oil is being produced in the first place, which is what a naturopath will do. I say this as someone who isn’t usually into natural therapies and I back science and medicine 100% but in my case a naturopath solved the problem for good. I actually get compliments on my skin now..
Good luck lovely, I know it’s a shitty feeling xx

I used to have terrible acne and the only method that worked for me is:
- wash face with baking soda
- use apple cider vinegar as toner
- moisturise with coconut oil

This has absolutely worked for me.

When I was at school I was on the contraceptive pill. This also helped me too.

I'm 32 and have had bad acne since I was 14. I have also tried everything and nothing has worked. I have recently cut out almost all sugar and clean my face with Thursday island tea tree foam wash and macular water. My face is clear for the first time ever. Sometimes it can be something your eating causing the breakouts. Mine was sugar.

A lady at work ended up getting laser. Her skin is the most beautiful skin I’ve ever seen now.
She did have to go to a dermatologist first.

Good luck.

If you have breast implants (lots of people do these days) it could definitely be contributing to it. Lots of people with Breast Implant Illness often complain of acne that just does not seem to go away, no matter what they try. If you do have implants and didn’t have bad skin until after you got them, id suggest that is the issue.
