I am booked in for a hysterectomy in 3 weeks time, and am just wanting opinions from you lovely ladies about recovery and pain after surgery. Obviously I have talked to the surgeons but thought I'd get first hand opinions from here too. Im not good with pain, even though I've had 3 kids, haha.

It takes a long time before you can do anything. Be very prepared that you won’t be able to do any washing, lifting or raising your arms above your head for many weeks. If you don’t have someone to cook/clean and do other household chores for a number of weeks start finding someone. I’d probably get some meals cooked and frozen ahead of time.
